Well, I'm back from my last tour with the Pennsylvania Girlchoir.  It's crazy.  I thought last year (the Russian tour) was my last, since they tend to age girls out of the choir after they graduate from high school, but I was fortunate enough to be invited back with three other alumnae to tour with them for another year.  (It's the first time in the choir's history that that's happened, which is pretty damn cool!)  AND I GOT MY THIRD CONTINENT IN!  We were in Uruguay and Argentina, with a random detour to Miami on the way down when the volcano in Chile grounded all Northern American flights to South America.  (So we totally accidentally got to spend a day on South Beach and then got free food at a fancy yacht club because the owner was at this impromptu Miami concert that our director organized to give us something to do while we waited for a new flight and he really liked us.  HAAAAAAAAAaccidentalvacation.)

It's been awesome singing with the Girlchoir these past seven years.  As a founding member (I was totally one of the first ten people to ever even audition for the choir when it first started up) it's really sad to say goodbye.  I'm in an adult choir now that actually performs with the Girlchoir a lot, and I actually got recruited to sing with the girls for a few smaller gigs this year when there weren't enough altos available, but I kind of doubt I'll ever be back in the uniform again, singing a concert as a member of the Girlchoir.  (Unless I get recruited again  as a founding member for our rumored return-to-Iceland tour for our tenth year!)

I'm still kind of trying to process that this major arc in my life has officially ended.  It's been great, ladies!  (And Mark! <3)
